Leave England in the beginning of the month and cross the channel to Northern France to explore that coastline.
May
Cameret on the Brest peninsular by May 1st, then continue down the southern Brittany coast.
June
South along the French coast and cross the Biscay to Spain at the end of the month.
July
Explore the Northern Spanish coastline and meet up with the Blue Water Triangle in La Coruna for the weekend beginning 24th.
August
South on the Portuguese coast.
September
Wedding anniversary on the 2nd in Lisbon and then continue on to the Algarve, South West Spain and Gibraltar (1).
October
The Blue Water rally starts on the 12th with a programme of events culminating in the start of the cruise on the 25th and sailing to Lanzarote (2) in the Canaries.
November
2 weeks in Lanzarote followed by the start of the Atlantic crossing around 13th.
December
It should take between 3 to 4 weeks to cross the Atlantic arriving in Antigua (3) in the Caribbean in the middle of the month
January 2010
Sail south through the Caribbean islands.
February
Transit the Panama canal (4) 12th to 16th and sail around Gulf of Panama.
March
The first 3 weeks in the Galapagos islands (5) where we have booked a 5 day mini cruise with a local travel company. Start to cross Pacific.
April
Crossing the Pacific should again be 3 or 4 weeks arriving in the Marquesas Islands (6) sometime in the middle of the month.
May
Sail to Tahiti (7) via Tuamotu Islands.
June
Cruise to Bora Bora (8) through to Tonga (9) via the Cook Islands
July
Tonga to Fiji (10)
August
Vanuatu Islands (11) where we leave the Blue Water rally as they sail on to Australia.
September
Solomon Islands (12) and Papua New Guinea (13)
October
Back down to New Caledonia (14) and on to New Zealand (15) where we plan to spend 6 months cruising the North and South Islands and meeting up with Bill’s sister Kate and family in their home town of Christchurch, NZ.
It’s tempting providence publishing an itinerary but these are our intentions.
